An introduction to Meditation - Our FREE Course

Kim Bennett

The Course Outline

Have you ever wanted to try meditation but have worries that you can't do it, or that your mind would never be 'still' enough?  Come and learn some basic meditations and have some of the myths and the mystery about meditation blown away.  A short course designed to answer basic questions and to provide a platform for your own meditation practice.

Questions we will aim to cover:

  • How can I benefit from mediation?
  • What is meditation (and what is it NOT)?
  • Is there a 'proper' way to sit?
  • Do I have to empty my mind?
  • How often should I meditate?
  • What is mindfulness?
  • What are the benefits of meditation?
  • How does meditating help the world?
We'll also try each of the following meditations (time allowing):
  • Breathing meditations
  • Loving-kindness meditation
  • Walking meditation
  • Zen meditation
